Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms explain the rules for using KaroCar as a customer: creating an account, verifying your identity, requesting a car, paying for it and driving it. Please read them carefully.
1. About KaroCar and these terms
KaroCar is an online marketplace for renting cars by the month. We connect customers with vendors who own or manage the vehicles, and we provide the tools to browse, request, pay for and manage a rental.
By creating an account or using KaroCar you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Where we say “we”, “us” or “KaroCar”, we mean the operator of the KaroCar website and apps.
2. Who can use KaroCar
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- To book a car you must hold a valid Pakistani CNIC (or another identity document we accept) and a valid driving licence for the type of vehicle you want to drive.
- You must not use KaroCar if we have previously closed your account for breaking these terms.
3. Your account
You agree to give us accurate and complete information when you sign up and to keep it up to date. Your account is personal to you. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone has used it without your permission.
4. Identity verification
Before you can book a car we ask you to verify your identity. This usually means photographing your CNIC and driving licence and taking a selfie on your phone. We use these to confirm that you are who you say you are and that you are allowed to drive.
You can create an account and browse cars without verifying, but you will not be able to book until verification is complete. We may ask you to verify again if the information we hold is unclear, out of date or expired. How we handle this information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
5. Renting a car
Cars on KaroCar are offered by independent vendors. When your booking request is accepted, the rental is an agreement between you and the vendor. KaroCar provides the marketplace and the booking, payment and record-keeping tools, but is not the owner of the vehicle unless a listing clearly says so.
A booking request is not a confirmed booking. The vendor can accept or decline it, and the booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation from KaroCar. Rentals on KaroCar run for whole months, starting on the date and for the duration shown in your request.
6. Prices, payments and fees
- Prices are shown in Pakistani rupees (PKR). The monthly price, any optional extras and any mandatory charges are shown in the quote before you send your request.
- Where you are offered the option to share a budget with the vendor, the vendor is free to accept, decline or counter it. Sharing a budget does not oblige the vendor to accept.
- You agree to pay the amounts on the invoices we issue for your rental, by the due dates shown on them.
- If a payment is late or fails, we or the vendor may charge reasonable costs, pause your booking or end the rental, as set out in your booking confirmation.
7. Changes and cancellation
You can ask to change or cancel a booking from your account. Any change or cancellation terms, including any fee or refund, are shown at the time you book and in your booking confirmation. Those specific terms apply together with these terms.
We or the vendor may cancel a booking if the car is no longer available, if you have not completed identity verification, if a payment has not been made, or if we reasonably suspect a breach of these terms. If we cancel a booking that you have paid for and that is not your fault, we will refund what you paid for the period you did not get.
8. Using the vehicle
While you have a car you agree to:
- Drive it yourself, or let only drivers named in your booking drive it, and only while they hold a valid licence.
- Use it lawfully and with care. Do not use it for racing, towing, carrying dangerous goods, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or any criminal purpose.
- Not sub-let, sell, pledge or take the vehicle out of the country, and not modify it.
- Keep it locked and secure, and look after its documents, keys and accessories.
- Check the condition record at handover and return, and tell the vendor and KaroCar about any existing damage you notice at the start.
- Return it on the agreed date, in the condition you received it apart from fair wear and tear.
9. Damage, accidents, fines and insurance
If there is an accident, theft or damage, make sure everyone is safe, contact the police where the law requires it, and tell the vendor and KaroCar as soon as you can. Do not admit liability or agree a settlement without speaking to the vendor.
Unless your booking confirmation says otherwise, you are responsible for damage to the car during the rental that is not covered by the vehicle’s insurance, for any insurance excess, and for traffic fines, tolls and similar charges incurred while you have the car. Insurance cover, excess amounts and exclusions are set out in your booking confirmation or by the vendor.
10. Vendors and business accounts
Vendors and companies that rent cars for their teams use the KaroCar business portal, which has its own sign-up and additional terms. Those terms apply in addition to these ones. If there is a conflict for a business account, the business terms apply.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Give false information or use someone else’s identity or documents.
- Try to access accounts, systems or data that are not yours, or interfere with how KaroCar works.
- Copy, scrape or resell KaroCar content, listings or prices without our written permission.
- Use KaroCar to harass, mislead or harm others, or to break any law.
12. Our content and your content
KaroCar’s name, logo, software, design and content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use them only to use the service as intended.
If you upload content, such as photos or documents, you confirm it is yours to share and you give us permission to store and use it to provide the service, including showing relevant parts of it to the vendor you book with.
13. Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using KaroCar and ask us to close your account at any time, once any rental and payment you have with us is settled. We may suspend or close your account, or refuse a booking, if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect other users or the platform. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.
14. Our responsibility
We work to keep KaroCar available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. Vehicle details and photos are supplied by vendors.
To the extent the law allows, KaroCar is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss caused by a vendor, by events outside our reasonable control, or by your breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using KaroCar after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law in your place of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.
If you have a question about these terms or need help with your account or a booking, please use the Help centre on our website to contact us.
